| "Love of animals is a universal impulse, a common ground on which all of us may meet. By loving and understanding animals, perhaps we as humans shall come to understand each other". Dr. Louis J. Camuti |
Manito Life Center is a 501©3 organization located on a beautiful, centrally located 60 acre farm in South Whitehall Township, PA. This farm has been preserved with the mission of helping the children of today as well as future generations. By providing children with wholesome avenues of self-expression, the EAGLE program at Manito Life Center assists in eliminating social and emotional obstacles to lifetime achievement.
Children experiencing trauma are especially vulnerable and can benefit immensely from the interactions with Manito's horses, beautiful farm and trained staff. Manito Life Center was founded by M. Lisa Schadt, R.N. She attended Bucknell University and Allentown Hospital School of Nursing and is EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) Certified Level I.
Manito Life Center's EAGLE program is designed to promote resilience and the development of protective factors, life skills and competencies, and offers children challenges, fun and opportunities for growth and healing. In addition to equine therapies and exercises, complementary nature-based programs are employed.
