Upcoming Events & Horse Shows

Our 2007 Halloween Horse Show was a wonderful day of riding and picnicking with some very fine people! We are so proud of our students' progress.

Manito's holiday parties were fun-filled, joyous events for children and adults alike.

Our trip to the Harrisburg Horse Show was the first of many field trips we look forward to in 2008.

Horse shows and events are a great way for riders to set goals, monitor their progress, and receive feedback on how the rider's or horse's training is progressing. This year, we are proud to be able to take our riders to many different shows and events. Whatever your level or style of riding, there is something for you.

For the recreational rider, there are field trips to the Bucks County Horse Park, a gorgeous facility located in Revere, Pa, with 123 acres. The Park is a safe and peaceful place with excellent facilities. There are two large show rings with practice show jumps, and two dressage rings. In addition, there are numerous cross country jumps over various terrains which include banks, ditches and water jumps. There are starter through training level courses and many smaller jumps to school. The Park also has two full size polocrosse fields and a grass jumping area. The trail system covers over 25 miles of trails and has recently been refurbished to include all weather trail and driving usage.

Horse camping is also a fun way to spend a weekend. This year, we are planning overnight trips to French Creek State Park, which has 7,339 acres, two lakes, and 200 camp sites. The Horse-Shoe Trail touches highlights of the park including Hopewell Lake and Scotts Run Lake. The Horse-shoe Trail runs 130 miles from Valley Forge to the Appalachian Trail near Harrisburg. We also plan to visit Green Lane Park, with 3400 acres, special equestrian campsites, and beautiful trails, as well as Nockamixon State Park, which has 5,283 acres and 20 miles of horse trails.

For the novices who are just starting their show career, there are schooling shows at the nearby Boots and Saddles Riding Club. These shows offer English, Western, and fun classes, and are very low key and geared towards learning in a relaxed atmosphere.

For the advanced riders wishing to join our Horse Show Team, we will be attending the show series at The Meadow in Mount Holly, NJ, Ludwig's Corner shows, and Chester County Horse Show Association Hunter/Jumper shows starting in January.
